Premier’s Diwali Dinner
Delivering Dignified Hospitality, Cultural Resonance & Vibrant Celebration
FT Events was proud to support the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) for Victoria’s annual Premier’s Diwali Dinner—a prestigious celebration bringing together dignitaries, community leaders, and cultural ambassadors to mark the Festival of Lights in grand style.
Our team provided end-to-end management of entertainment, activations to ensure a seamless and meaningful experience for all attendees. Working closely with DPC protocols, FT Events curated a program that balanced cultural authenticity with the formality of a government-led event.

Culturally Appropriate Entertainment
Understanding the spiritual and symbolic importance of Diwali, we curated a line-up of talented Indian-Australian artists and performers that reflected the diversity of the South Asian diaspora while remaining respectful of the formal setting.
Highlights included:
Indian classical and fusion dance performances
Live musical segments blending traditional instruments and contemporary tones
Performances selected to reflect themes of light, unity and celebration
All talent was briefed to align with the tone of the evening and worked in harmony with speech timings and formal proceedings.
💫 Immersive Roving Activations
To add an interactive layer to the evening, FT Events designed elegant roving activations that allowed guests to engage with Diwali in creative and meaningful ways:
Roving Elephant puppet offering ambient flair during guest arrival and pre-dinner mingling
Each roving element was thoughtfully designed to complement the visual theming, ensuring that cultural elements were elevated and integrated—not commercialised or tokenistic.
